The main goal of ACTIVA CONSULTING is to develop the strongest partnership between our clients and us, providing the best Human Resources services and finding the most suitable candidates with the most exhaustive market research. We have the same methodology than Parangon Partners with a strong research and investigation team; it allows us to set our quality level over the market both for clients and candidates.

Search Methodology

With the objective of identifying, evaluating and retaining the best possible candidates, our methodology focuses on efficiency in its approach, through a series of defined stages:

1. Preliminary interview: The client provides the consultants with general information about the company and the duties and the responsibilities of the vacancy to be filled. As this interview is very important it would be preferable if two consultants take part in it.

2. Collaboration proposal: We are specialist in direct search. In general terms we offer the following tools:

  • Direct Search. Identifying the target companies.
  • External Collaborators. We work with the main worldwide business schools and professional associations.
  • Own database of candidates.
  • International Net. We are member of IIC Partners, Executive Search Worldwide, which enable us to be present in 36 countries.
  • Internet. www.activaselection.com, we offer the client to arrange publications in the main employment webs.
  • Media Advertising. We provide clients with the most appropriate media advertising (press, Internet…) if we are required for this method of selection.

3. Position environment: The consultants in charge of the search, will hold several interviews according to client availability, with the executives in the firm involved with the position in order to know in detail about the environment, philosophy and culture of the company. This process is done with absolute confidentiality.

4. Search Strategy: In collaboration with the client we set the strategy for the search, by pointing the companies and sectors to be investigated in order to identify the most appropriate candidates for the position.

5. Progress Report: To keep client periodically informed is essential. For this reason, we issue a Progress Report weekly or each two weeks informing about the status of the search and the results of our findings.

6. Candidate evaluation: Once resumes are received and potential candidates have been identified, we do a pre-selection and a telephone interview.

When the candidatures that, both personally and professionally have the adequate profile, ACTIVA CONSULTING will interview each candidate in order to evaluate in depth the professional and personal profile, the interests and the reasons for willing a change and the fitting in the position.

The list of professionals is therefore depurated to obtain the best candidates to be presented to the client. At this point, we will take appropriate references about their executive careers.

7. Short list: At the presentation of the short list, we send a report explaining three major areas; we explain each report in a personal meeting with each client:

  1. Personal data and professional experience: Summarizing the candidate's career evolution.
  2. Technical: Detailed analysis of the candidate's day to day duties in the different professional experiences, computer tools, languages, analysis of business model, direct reporting lines, team under management, among others.
  3. Evaluation, motivation to the change and conclusion: the consultant's personal view about the candidate's suitability to the position and to the company.

8. References, closing and period adaptation: We remain in contact with the client in order to help in the negotiation with the final candidate. At this time, the consultants request professional references of the selected candidates which are lately sent to the client.

9. Follow up: To enable the candidate's smooth transition in the client's company and in order to solve possible communication or adaptation problems, the consultants maintain, for at least one year, periodical contacts with the client and the candidate.

10. Guarantee: We offer three guarantees for each process:

  • Substitution: we undertake to carry out a new search at no charge to the client if it's necessary.
  • Offlimits policy: ACTIVA will not approach any employee of the client with the intention of offering him new job opportunities during a period of one year after the conclusion of the last agreement of collaboration between the client and ACTIVA
  • Placed candidates: Placed candidates will not be considered as candidates for any other search processes while they remain within the client organisation.
